About Me

 Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. My name is Terry Wicker, and I am pursuing my degree in Information Technology at The University of Arizona Global Campus. Exploring this degree has given me the chance to expand my knowledge of IT, from basic software application to cybersecurity. I enjoy getting to learn new skills and being able to apply them to real world applications. 

My professional background consists of being enlisted in the Air Force working in a tech related field. During this time, I have had the chance to learn technical skills and different platforms widely used in the Department of Defense. I think this field has kept me adaptable to new technology within the years and a good mentality of learning new things. 

My future goals are to finish my degree in IT and pursue a new career as software developer. The focus is going to be in building different applications that are custom to certain businesses. I am interested in coding, design, and adapting technology to user needs. 

Throughout this blog I plan to share my experiences I have went through during this degree and providing research and educational videos of technology topics. I tend to keep the information relatable to newcomers and experienced professionals in the technology field. I think this blog will become a useful resource to users and help enhance learning the materials within the community that is built in this blog.
